Aşadar PC-ul a fost trecut la categoria current-gen, alături de PS2, ceea ce din start înseamnă o evoluţie cel puţin timidă pe partea de afişare a elementelor vizuale, lucru care dezamăgeşte profund, în contextul în care PC-urile beneficiază de o flexibilitate foarte mare când vine vorba de adaptarea la cerinţele grafice. Dezamăgirea este cu atât mai mare cu cât principalul concurent, Pro Evolution Soccer 6, beneficiază de o grafică care arată mult mai bine pe PC, cu elemente de fineţe, gen trageri de tricou, mişcări mai complexe şi animaţii faciale de calitate pentru un joc de sport. Mai mult, în afară de grafică mai există şi alte elemente care se regăsesc doar în versiunile next-gen, cum ar fi motorul fizic pentru mişcarea mingii, numit de EA Clinical Finishing, plus câteva opţiuni de AI cu care producătorii se laudă că ar putea oferi jucătorilor posibilitatea de a analiza mii de acţiuni posibile pe secundă.Trecând însă peste ce nu aduce nou, trebuie să ne concentrăm pe ceea ce oferă de fapt versiunea PC de FIFA 08. Licenţele oficiale sunt mereu importante în acest tip de joc, aşa că avem la dispoziţie 30 de ligi şi peste 14.000 de jucători modelaţi după asemănarea starurilor din realitate. După cum ne-am obişnuit în ultimul timp, echipele româneşti de club nu sunt prezente în joc, în ciuda rezultatelor bune din anul trecut competiţional. Deşi există mai multe variante pentru care acest lucru se întâmplă an de an, de la faptul că sunt licenţiate de altă organizaţie decât cea de la care EA cumpără drepturile respective şi până la faptul că Becali cere prea mulţi bani pentru drepturile Stelei (?!), cea mai apropiată de adevăr este că EA este o companie îndreptată către profit şi va investi atunci când va scoate profit direct. Astfel se face că Cehia, cu o populaţie mult mai mică decât România şi cu rezultate modeste la nivel de club, are toată liga naţională prezentă în FIFA 08, ceea ce probabil este rezultatul numărului de unităţi de FIFA 07 vândute în ţara respectivă. Un alt aspect este reprezentat de partea cea mai importantă în orice simulator fotbalistic - gameplay-ul. În FIFA 08, modificările care influenţează cel mai mult sistemul de joc sunt cele pentru AI, în special în faza de apărare, şi modul în care sunt direcţionate pasele. Una dintre armele cele mai importante din FIFA 07 era pasa pe poziţie viitoare (desemnată implicit pe tasta W) cu care, dacă se folosea o aşezare mai ofensivă sau în echipă exista un jucător rapid, se putea realiza de multe ori o fază spectaculoasă. În ediţia 08, pasa este influenţată mult mai vizibil de felul în care sunt apăsate tastele direcţionale (săgeţile) astfel că de multe ori nu se va produce întâlnirea cu jucătorul vizat dacă nu se apasă corect succesiunea de taste potrivită. Acest lucru nu îl văd ca pe unul rău pentru că, deşi scade posibilitatea de marca sau de a scăpa constant singur cu portarul advers, este conformă cu realitatea din fotbalul actual, unde astfel de situaţii 1 vs. 1 nu se întâmplă de zeci de ori într-un meci. Un element ajutător este şi faptul că acum există o semnalizare a eventualei poziţii de ofsaid în care se află un jucător. Acelaşi proces de control al paselor există la o scară mai mică şi pentru cele normale (tasta S) atfel că în FIFA 08 există un procentaj mai mare de pase greşite. Desi originea jocului se afla în arcade, aceasta versiune pentru PC este, în principal, o simulare realistă de curse de motociclete. În afară de modul de joc Arcade, este important să inveţi cum sa pozitionezi cel mai bine greutatea motociclistului si este vital să iti dai seama cand sa folosesti franele din fata si cand pe cele din spate. Poti pierde controlul chiar si pe o portiune dreaptă a traseului - asa este de realist. Totusi, lucrul extraordinar este că Moto GP 3 poate fi stapanit, cu suficient antrenament, de către jucători cu orice nivel de abilitate. Si atunci cand reusesti sa il stapanesti, este o adevarata incantare. De asemenea, din punct de vedere grafic este absolut sublim. Trasee din lumea reala, cum ar fi Estoril, Suzuka si Paul Ricard sunt reprezentate fidel, cu o asemenea atentie a detaliilor incat poti crede ca te afli în fata unei transmisii TV. Chiar si zgomotele motoarelor au fost reproduse aproape de perfectiune. Fiecare motocicletă are un sunet distinct - exact ca cele din viaţa reala. Adeseori continuarile nu merita efortul daca ai o versiune anterioara a jocului în chestiune, dar Moto GP 3 este o continuare mult mai buna decat predecesoarele ei în toate privintele. Fanii motoarelor vor fi in rai; altii vor fi transformati în fani ai motocicletelor în urma senzatiilor tari starnite de viteza din Moto GP 3.
